On the first day of the opening of the tourist season and the release of international flights to the country's regional airports, more than 150 tour operators, travel agents as well as journalists from Germany visited Crete and were hosted at Creta Maris Beach Resort in Heraklion, on an initiative of Metaxa Hospitality Group to actively contribute to the national effort of tourism recovery.
The visit, which is the first trip to familiarize tourism professionals with international destinations, was made by the airline Condor, in the framework of the "Look & Feel" program, and was organized in collaboration with the Association of Tourist and Travel Agencies of Crete (ACTTA), Quality Travel Alliance (QTA) and Creta Maris Beach Resort.
Τhe official dinner hosted for the guests by the Metaxa Hospitality Group at the Creta Maris Beach Resort Hotel, honored with their presence and addressed a greeting the Minister of Tourism, Haris Theocharis, and the Governor of Crete, Stavros Arnaoutakis. During the visit, a workshop was organized on issues related to the resumption of tourism, practical issues of operation of hotels were discussed, while Greece and especially Crete emerged as an ideal and safe destination.
Metaxa Hospitality Group, has opened all its hotels in Crete and Santorini for the summer season of 2020, in addition to Creta Maris Beach Resort.
