Message from the CEO for the closing of the season

This season was very different from the ones we have known so far. The COVID-19 pandemic altered the travel and tourism patterns at a global scale, giving prominence to health as a non-negotiable priority for all.

At Metaxa Hospitality Group we are really proud that in such a difficult year we managed to open all three of our hotels, in Crete and Santorini for the 2020 summer season, in order to support our people, our partners and our suppliers.

We have achieved an excellent healthcare management, following strictly all the health protocols and being certified on safety and quality by renowned international organizations.

For all these, I would like to express my thanks to all the people of our Group, who always made themselves available and were genuinely most helpful, wearing a radiant smile, from the first day we opened until the last one.

With empathy and team spirit we all became one for a common goal: To welcome and host our guests, without the slightest discount on our high quality services and the authenticity of the experience we offer, taking all the necessary measures and with absolute safety for all, our visitors and employees.

We thus honored the trust of old and new friends, who chose us this summer, in unprecedented conditions for the tourism sector around the world. The fact that our guests left for their homelands healthy and happy, confirms that the experience at Metaxa Hospitality Group is above all the bond and the care of a large family. To each of them, we owe a very big thank you for this choice of trust.

Happy for what we have achieved this year, we have already started planning the 2021 season. Despite the uncertainties, we carry on with confidence and positive thinking. We open our arms and welcome you all next summer in Greece, hoping that we will have come out of the pandemic and we will have taken back our lives.
